Here we wrote\u00a0ALL NECESSARY STEPS,<\/strong> to explain\u00a0how to install SSL & use HTTPS<\/code> on WampServer<\/a><\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>(just change\u00a0red words<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0to your actual path) :<\/p>\n

  1. Click in tray WAMP > Apache > Apache Modules<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>and check socache_shmcb_module <\/strong>(wait for restart and do the same for ssl_module <\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  2. Open CMD<\/code>\u00a0and execute these commands one-by-one (if asked, type i.e. abcd<\/strong> for password-phrase<\/em>).\n
    cd c:\\wamp\\bin\\apache\\apacheX.X.XX<\/span>\\bin<\/strong><\/pre>\n
    (echo [ my_req_ext ] && echo subjectAltName = DNS:localhost, DNS:*.localhost, IP:127.0.0.1) >> ..\\conf\\openssl.cnf<\/strong><\/pre>\n
    openssl genrsa -aes256 -passout pass:ABCDE -out mypriv.key 2048 && <\/strong>openssl rsa -in mypriv.key -passin pass:ABCDE -out mypriv.key \n\n<\/strong>openssl req -new -x509 -nodes -sha1 -key mypriv.key -out mycert.crt -days 44444 -config ..\\conf\\openssl.cnf -extensions my_req_ext -subj \"\/C=US\/ST=Distributed\/L=Cloud\/O=Cluster\/CN=localhost\"<\/strong>\n\ncopy mypriv.key ..\\conf\\mypriv.key \/y && copy mycert.crt ..\\conf\\mycert.crt \/y<\/strong><\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  3. (Don’t close\u00a0CMD<\/strong>). Now in Windows, go to folder:\u00a0c:\\wamp\\bin\\apache\\apacheX.X.XX<\/span>\\conf<\/span><\/strong>, open\u00a0httpd.conf<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and :
    \n\u00a0A)<\/span> Below line\u00a0Define APACHE_DIR\u00a0<\/code>if there is not already Define SRVROOT<\/code>, then add this:
    \nDefine SRVROOT ${APACHE_DIR}\/<\/code><\/strong>
    \n\u00a0B)<\/span> find & uncomment this line:
    \nInclude conf\/extra\/httpd-ssl.conf<\/code><\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. In conf\\extra\\httpd-ssl.conf<\/strong><\/span> file find
    \n<VirtualHost _default_:443><\/strong>, and below it re-set :<\/p>\n
    DocumentRoot \"${INSTALL_DIR}\/www\"\nServerName localhost:443\n...\n...\nSSLCertificateFile \"${SRVROOT}\/conf\/mycert.crt\"\n...\nSSLCertificateKeyFile \"${SRVROOT}\/conf\/mypriv.key\"<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n
  5. Save file (in that opened cmd<\/code> <\/strong>typehttpd -t<\/code><\/strong> to ensure the status is ok<\/code>), then\u00a0Restart WAMP-server<\/strong> and access https:\/\/127.0.0.1<\/code>\u00a0(or https:\/\/localhost<\/code>)<\/li>\n
  6. You will get warning but click Advanced >Proceed<\/code> That’s all!
