In Europe, Asia, Africa or anywhere, in\u00a0NON-USA<\/strong> countries, many people have Verizon Phones (with my example, I had\u00a0Droid 4<\/strong>), that are locked for Subscription<\/strong>. This is an annoying problem, because we are unable to even to connect to VERIZON<\/a>\u00a0– we are not in US. So, what is the solution to bypass that subscription block, that denies our access to WiFi Hotspot and\u00a0 several similar settings?<\/p>\n

The solution depends on the phone model, however, in general, this solution might work on most of phones :<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Root your device (otherwise the next steps wont work, as they require system-wide changes.\u00a0 You can read here about\u00a0What is and how to root?<\/a><\/strong>).<\/li>\n
  2. Install SQLite Editor<\/strong><\/a> (or alternative functional free apps:\u00a0DB BROWSER<\/strong><\/a> or\u00a0aSQLITEmanager<\/a>) <\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. With file-manager (I use Total-Commander<\/a><\/strong>) navigate to:
    \n\/data\/data\/com.google.android.(settings).providers<\/code>\u00a0
    \n<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(or if you have     Motorola<\/a><\/strong>\ud83d\ude42
    \n<\/strong>\/data\/data\/com.motorola.android.providers.settings<\/code><\/li>\n
  4. change entitlement_check<\/code><\/strong>\u00a0 value from 1 to 0.<\/li>\n
  5. Save<\/strong> table (a.k.a. “dump”).<\/li>\n
  6. Exit SQLITE-EDITOR and NAVIGATE TO SAME RECORD and check, if it was REALLY SAVED. If so, Reboot phone<\/strong> and that should be all!<\/li>\n
  7. \u00a0If the solution didnt work and you still see that\u00a0Subscription lock<\/strong>\u00a0still interrupts you (i.e. built-in hotspot still cant be enabled or etc), you may try “Entitlement Bypass<\/a><\/strong>” app to start Wifi Tether (or some people say that entitlement may be bypassed with “SVTP Wifi Hotspot and USB Tether<\/a>“)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
