{"id":685,"date":"2017-03-24T20:05:27","date_gmt":"2017-03-24T20:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/puvox.software\/?p=685"},"modified":"2021-11-14T13:45:49","modified_gmt":"2021-11-14T13:45:49","slug":"solution-synergy-shows-warning-error-unrecognised-client-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/puvox.software\/blog\/solution-synergy-shows-warning-error-unrecognised-client-name\/","title":{"rendered":"[SOLUTION] Synergy Warning\/Error &#8220;unrecognized client name&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"default-content-clss content_685 type_post \"><p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-687 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/puvox.software\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/synergy-symless.png\" alt=\"symless software\" width=\"437\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Error Message\/Issue in Synergy<\/h2>\n<p>Maybe some of you use mirroring software, named <a href=\"https:\/\/symless.com\/synergy\">Synergy<\/a>\u00a0(from Symless.com), on either <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/windows.com\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Windows<\/span><\/a><\/span> or <span style=\"color: #000000;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.apple.com\/lae\/mac\/\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Mac<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>computers.<\/p>\n<p>At first,after you install and setup the initial things of it, you will need to try to connect with your another PC (in same network).<\/p>\n<p>During connection, many of you may get the following error messages (at the moment, while you try to pair them):<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">On Client&#8217;s window:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n<em>Note: connecting to &#8216;x.x.x.x&#8217; : \u00a0\u00a0x.x.x.x:24800<\/em><\/p>\n<pre><strong>ERROR: server refused client with name \"user\"<\/strong>\r\n<strong>WARNING: failed to connect to server: server refused client with our name<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">OR\r\n<\/span>\r\n<strong>ERROR: server already has a connected client with name \"user\"<\/strong>\r\n<strong>WARNING: failed to connect to server: server already has a connected client with our name<\/strong><\/pre>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">On Server&#8217;s window:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<pre><strong>WARNING: unrecognised client name \"user\", check server config<\/strong>\r\n<strong>NOTE: disconnecting client \"user\"\r\nNOTE: client \"user\" has disconnected\r\n<\/strong><\/pre>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Solve the problem<\/h2>\n<p>The problem is that the user which tries to connect is unrecognized, it means you have to add that user in &#8220;ALLOWED&#8221; list. To do this, open \u00a0&#8220;Configure Server&#8221;, then drag a new PC into the cell.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-686 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/puvox.software\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/synergy-error-1.png\" alt=\"drag pc in window menu\" width=\"688\" height=\"560\" srcset=\"https:\/\/puvox.software\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/synergy-error-1.png 688w, https:\/\/puvox.software\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/synergy-error-1-300x244.png 300w, https:\/\/puvox.software\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/synergy-error-1-400x326.png 400w, https:\/\/puvox.software\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/03\/synergy-error-1-332x270.png 332w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 688px) 100vw, 688px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Then double click that new PC icon, and enter anything in the SCEEN NAME field, but in ALIAS field, <strong>add exact username of the CLIENT<\/strong>. Click OK&gt;OK and START them on both PC&#8217;s again.
